How do we get started?
It starts with a conversation. You need a website, or you need one re-designed. Ideally you should know why you want a new web site, who your target market is and who your ideal clients are. Further it is helpful to have some goals for your site. If you have a marketing plan, how do these goals fit into it? I have a questionnaire that will help you organize your own thoughts related to the look and feel of your website, its initial structure and potential content.
How long does it take?
That usually depends on you. I work quickly once we have all the pieces in place – text, images, graphics, etc. If you are responsive (providing content and feedback when needed), the process will generally run one to two months for a normal size site. If you have a smaller project, such as a single sales page for example, the process will take much less time.
What is included?
We will discuss the full scope of your project at start. I am not a writer and I do not know your business like you do. You are responsible for providing content – mainly text. If you need a professional to do the writing for you, please let me know and I will provide you with a reputable referral.
What about SEO?
Your new site is built “search-engine friendly” meaning you have alt tags, H tags, page titles, etc. Basic SEO will be included, as well as responsive capabilities – meaning your website will automatically adjust and resize to a device your potential customer will be viewing it on. Extensive SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a separate specialty service. I will be happy to refer you to a colleague who specializes in this field.
How much is it going to cost?
It depends on your project. Please refer to “Websites” page for some initial pricing ideas. Generally packages start between $2,000-4,000. I ask for 50% up front and the balance upon completion. If necessary, we can negotiate a payment plan.
